Joining or renewing your membership with the League of Women Voters (LWV) is now easier than ever! With our new system, you can sign up or renew online through the National LWV Portal.

Membership Process

Joining or renewing your membership with the League of Women Voters Chattanooga is now more flexible!

  • Rolling Memberships – Your membership lasts one year from the date you join.
  • Renewal Notices – Sent directly from the National League via email three months before your membership expires.
  • Automatic Renewal Option – Set up auto-renewal for hassle-free membership.
  • Membership Account Access – All members will receive an email with login details for their individual membership account.

Membership Fees & Payment Options

  • Individual Membership: $75 per year (suggested rate).
  • 50-Year Members: Free – If you have been a member for 50 years or more, your membership is complimentary.
  • Sliding Scale Membership: You may pay more or less depending on your financial situation, but no less than $20.
  • No Household or Student Memberships: Every member must join individually. However, a second person from the same household may choose to pay less than the full $70 based on financial need.

Important Notes

  • Any amount paid above $75 is NOT a donation – It will be treated as a membership fee, and only a portion will stay with our local League.
  • Membership payments are NOT tax-deductible.

Mail-in Option: Paper membership forms are still available! You can print and complete the form, then mail it with a check made out to LWV Chattanooga.
